Trainee Industrial Designer

We are seeking an exceptionally creative and talented Industrial Designer to join our company. As an Trainee Industrial Designer, you will be responsible for designing innovative products that meet the needs of our customers and blend seamlessly with our cutting-edge technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for industrial design, a deep understanding of the latest trends, and a proven track record of delivering successful products in the tech industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and marketing professionals, to create innovative and aesthetically pleasing designs for new products.
2. Develop initial concept sketches, renderings, and 3D models that effectively communicate design ideas, taking into consideration user experience, functionality, and manufacturability.
3. Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software and rapid prototyping tools to create detailed 3D models and functional prototypes for testing and validation.
4. Conduct thorough research to identify user needs, market trends, and competitive research to create innovative products.
5. Participate in user testing and research activities to gather feedback and iterate designs to improve usability, functionality, and user satisfaction.
6. Stay up to date with the latest advancements and innovations in industrial design, materials, and manufacturing processes to integrate new technologies and practices into product design efforts.

8. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet project timelines and budgets.
9. Maintain accurate documentation of design specifications, materials, and production processes.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
2. Proven experience (at least 6 months -1 year) as an Industrial Designer in the tech industry, designing consumer products or electronic devices.
3. Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of creative, user-centered design solutions with a focus on technological products.
4. Strong portfolio demonstrating product design sketches & product design concept illustration.
5. Proficiency in SolidWorks, 3dsmax, AutoCAD, Keyshot and other design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
6. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials, including plastic injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, and electronic assembly.
7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and justify design concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
8. Ability to think critically and solve complex design problems by balancing aesthetic, technical, and functional considerations.
9. Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
10. Familiarity with human factors and ergonomics in product design.
11. Understanding of usability principles and experience conducting user research and testing.
